CANDIDA-ALBICANS/YEAST INFECTION/THRUSH/OPC/FUNGUS

Many fungi live in and on the human body (hair, nail, and anywhere moist & warm); that yeast is foremost known as Candida.

At normal levels, the fungus is not problematic until triggered by malignancies, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, which compromise the cell-mediated immunity. Antibiotic treatment often predisposes patients to Oropharyngeal Candidiasis (OPC/thrush). With steroid regiments or people with immune-compromised profiles tend to experience cutaneous candidiasis outbreaks. Candida-albicans are the most common cause of fungal infections in humans, especially the obese and people with diabetes. Uncontrolled Candida will exacerbate existing gastrointestinal diseases such as ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease.

Individuals with Candida infections are not usually contagious, though, in some settings, people with weakened immune systems may catch the infection.

Even on the Mayo Clinic website, you can find information dismissing the benefit of a “Candida-Diet” yet, they admit in the same sentence,  poor food choices might (not sure…?) be the culprit of consequential health problems. The benefits of reducing sugar and controlling your intake of high-processed foods are undisputed a healthy choice! Mayo Clinic opinion aside.

Candida is also the most frequent cause of vaginal yeast infections. Guys, you too: Itchy butt, funky smell, dry skin (yes, there) burning pee, bad breath, stomach pain, white-coated tongue, and mid-day fatigue are signs your microorganism has overgrown.

The gradual emergence of non-albicans Candida species are surprisingly resistant to azoles and other antifungal agents available (without prescription); It is hence important that you consult with a medical professional.

The easy to adapt Candida Menu selection is intended as a support and/or preventative suggestion to eliminate yeast in your system. They will reduce the risk of falling further ill. Before consulting with me for KETO or HIIT goals, I recommend you go on a sugar-free 6-day journey: It is a perfect introduction to learning the benefits of basic foods we consume daily!
